I had searched around Chula Vista for an affordable gel manicure. I read the previous reviews that are predominantly about hair and I also was made aware that my hairstylist graduated from this school so I felt comfortable calling and booking a nail appointment. The day of, I waited a bit for the receptionist to check me in and soon after I was greeted by Sonia. We started talking while waiting for my nails to soak off and she was great! She answered my questions about nail care that I wouldn’t feel comfortable asking at a local nail salon. She would ask me if the color was opaque enough/to my liking, asked if I wanted a specific nail shape while filing, she made sure I was happy through every step of the manicure. Sonia’s teacher had stopped by as well to check on her and answer any questions she had regarding gel manicure. I was hesitant to pick a color and she had recommended a pink color I would never pick for myself. I love the nail color & my manicure! She took some pictures of her work for her class that week. I already booked another appointment for 2 weeks from now and I had requested for Sonia. The receptionist had let me know that another nail tech might do my nails for my upcoming appointment but I hope Sonia is available since she will be graduating very soon.
*I have had amazing experiences with one of the educators at this location. Her name is Karla M. Uribe. The way she teaches and goes above and beyond with the students is amazing. She is so dedicated, and the way she loves what she does just shows in her work ethic. I feel very blessed and appreciative with the amazing work she does. I can go on and on with how amazing she is. Thank you so much Karla and hope you keep shinning your light with your students.
*I’m a current student at Bellus Academy and I’ve been blown away with the level of professionalism from my instructor, Miss Karla Uribe. She goes above and beyond to help her students and always greets us with a great smile. She’s also bilingual (English/Spanish) and I find that very helpful because if I don’t understand something, she’ll explain it to me in Spanish. She’s a great asset to the academy and I’m very fortunate to have her as my instructor. Thank you for all you do!
